Here is a cute gift for crafty DIY-type of girl. It’s a gift bag filled with everything she needs to give herself a French Manicure that looks pretty and will save her a ton of money, if she usually gets it done at a nail salon.
You may ask “What does this have to do with craft or home projects?” and all I can say is: I’m a do it yourself kind of girl and I get a lot of satisfaction doing my own french manicure in exactly the color and style that I like. I also save money and get to paint something pretty! Sounds like all the hallmarks of a great craft project, if you ask me!
I can’t take credit for inventing this technique; there are numerous youTube videos with variations of this french manicure application. The first time I ever came across it, was seven years ago, by an un-named girl’s (MakeupSquare) YouTube video called “French Tips on Natural Nails.” Her product suggestions are the most reliable and readily available. However, I have to say that her 2007 video is a little dark and dated, and I felt the need to make a newer video with better close-up shots to demonstrate MakeSquare’s French Tip Techique. You can find my how-to video here on my website or on YouTube: How to do a French Tips on Short Natural Nails.
I’ve been doing my nails this way for years, and I love how quick and easy it is to do; and how long it stays looking good! It’s just one little coat of white Sally Hansen Xtreme Nail Polish, so it dries in a flash, and is ready for the top coat in just minutes! No base coat required, no pink polish to mess with. I love the look and I love giving it to friends as a gift!
Let me know if you like it!
